The school started in 1988 as an appendage of the famous Mashuuru Primary school, through the initiative of the then Head teacher. Mr. Murianka, after which the first Head teacher secondary section Mr. Ramogi Rapogi was appointed.
After experiencing serious teething problem, the schools shifted to their new building that were put up through the assistance of the then vice – president and Minister for finance Prof. George Saitoti. Though it experienced an erratic student enrolment it took it with courage, through the headship of Mr. Benson kabatha, in the early eighties to mid nineties, when Mr. Kerei took over. The current head is John Kuria.
Population: With the Introduction of FPE (2002) followed by ASSE (2008), the schools enrolment is currently with 340 boys , 38 girls, 17 teaching staff and 12 support staff.
It is registered boys school but its administration is concerned about the plight of girls’ education in Maasai land. The dedicated team of 17 teachers has volunteered to give tuition to the girls who are under the catholic fathers of Guadalupe and sisters of St. Ann.
The Institution has offered this service to the needy girls as it had been the only secondary school until 2000 when another girl’s school emerged.
